It’s time for the fifth round of rankings for the 2008 girls track
& field season from our Davyd Cash, and it appears we’re largely
looking at the set o’ teams that’s gonna take us into the postseason.
That’s because there are but two slight changes in the Top 10 –
Westfield going from third to fourth, and Carroll (Fort Wayne) moving
from 11th to 10th.
Otherwise,
everybody stays the same up top just eight days before girls sectionals
take place. That would be North Central (Indianapolis) and Warren
Central at 1-2, with Lawrence North and Penn rounding out the first 5
ahead of Carmel, Merrillville, West Lafayette, and Munster.
Meanwhile, four Conference Indiana teams dot the landscape among the state’s Top 21. They are Columbus North (11th), Bloomington South (14th), Perry Meridian (16th), and Bloomington North (21st).
