play began on Friday evening and an upset was tops on the menu. Bloomington North
edged co-favorite Perry Meridian 48-47 on the Cougars home court.
In other action, Bloomington South pounded visiting
the ideal guest. The Red Devils dumped the host Bears by an identical 71-40
score. Columbus North rebounded from an opening loss to
Central 62-37.
CI teams now move back to non-conference play next week. The
schedule is highlighted by Perry meridian’s clash with #1 Ben Davis on Wednesday
night. That same evening Pike will engage in a neighborhood rivalry with North
central.
