Barring a major upset, Bloomington South laid claim to the
Conference Indiana title Friday night. The Panthers thumped Pike in a showdown
of the two remaining unbeatens in league play, 75-50. That moved south’s record
to 5-0 in the conference. The two remaining games for the Panthers are versus
Columbus North and Perry Meridian, the two squads at the bottom of the league
standings.

Elsewhere in CI Friday night, Franklin Central assured
itself of an upper division finish by downing Bloomington North 60-45. Southport picked up its second league win by edging
Columbus North 53-45. The victory kept the Bull Dogs winless in conference play
and dropped them to 6-8 overall. The Cardinals are now 8-6 on the campaign.
Finally, Lawrence
central tripped Perry Meridian by ten, 52-42. The victory moves LC to 2-3 in
the league and drops the falcons to 1-4.
