Three
Conference Indiana teams won sectional titles this week. That group includes
state ranked Columbus North which destroyed city rival East 5-0 in the
championship match.
Also,
claiming titles were Perry Meridian and Bloomington South. The Falcons claimed
the trophy at the Decatur Central Sectional by whitewashing the host Hawks 5-0
in the final. Perry Meridian had knocked out neighborhood rival Southport
earlier by a score of 4-1. Bloomington South slipped past city foe North 3-2 in
the final of its own sectional. That came after the Panthers defeated
Martinsville by the same score in the first round.
At the time
of this writing, competition was not complete at Pike or Lawrence North.
